After what was described as a great visit last week Jones has now committed to the Trojans. Jones seems really excited about the chance to step in and play right away. Since Daniel Hacket has now officially signed with an agent.
After de-committing from Louisville (twice) and Virginia Tech, Jones, a 6-foot point guard out of Harlem, signed a Letter of Intent Sunday with USC.
“He texted me and said he did,” Oak Hill coach Steve Smith said.
Jones is ranked among the top 10 point guards in the Class of 2009.
During an interview last week in New York before the Jordan Classic, Jones said he enjoyed his recent visit to USC.
“It was a great experience,” he said. “It was just a family-oriented atmosphere. It was a great school all around. The kids, the coaches, the campus, everything about it.”
