In front of a national television audience on ESPN 2. Findlay Prep claimed the 2009 NHSI championship, defeating Oak Hill 74-66. The stars were certainly on display. Texas commits Avery Bradley and Tristan Thompson played huge roles in the win. Bradley posted 20 points and 8 rebounds before fouling out with 2:35 remaining in the game. His teammate Thompson came up big posting 8 points and 4 rebounds from that point on to seal the win for Findlay. Findlay head man Mike Peck pointed out some of the keys to the victory.

"We had to get back in transition. We had to contain Keith Gallon and limit his second chance opportunity's. We came out and played zone to try to catch them off guard."

The philosophy was good enough to win the game but not to contain future Oklahoma post Keith "Tiny" Gallon. Gallon posted 18 point and a game high 14 rebounds.
