Gaines is a versatile player that can play on the wing or in the post. He is tenacious defender and is great in transition. Gaines skills are a work in progress however he has shown flashes of promise offensively. He has a nice slashing game and sports a satisfactory spot up jumps shot. Gaines will be attending Cincinnati's elite camp in the summer of 2009.
