Powell is an athletic post with an improving offensive game. He has shown flashes of being a very dominant player. He has an accurate spot up jump shot out to about 18 feet. Powell is great in transition he uses his length and athleticism to finish strong above the rim. At this point he is better off playing facing the basket as he needs to develop a couple of go to moves with his back to the basket. Powell needs to add strength and toughness to help him get to where he needs to be defensively.
