Our final 2009 class rankings are being revealed starting May 11. Releasing one team a day leading up to our #1 ranking and the signing day finale on May 20.

Coming off of a national title in 2008, Bill Self has added three players that should help him get back to the mountain top in the near future. All three players are very talented and should contribute to the team in different ways next season.

Xavier Henry- This kid was among a handful of players vying for the top spot in the 09' rankings. Smooth is the word that comes to mind when I watch this kid play. Henry is an effortless scorer in the mold of a Carmelo Anthony. Can get to the rim with relative ease, but loves to shoot from the perimeter, where he is solid as well. Great reaction skills and timing this kid really gets it. Once he realizes he can drive on just about anyone he will be super special. Photo.

Elijah Johnson- We saw this kid play at the 2009 Derby Classic. Johnson was solid, posting 9 points and 4 assists in limited action. The thing that stood out about Johnson was his athleticism. In the games final seconds Johnson did a sick 360 dunk that was the best of the weekend. Not a single dunk in any round of the competition was as powerful and graceful as this one. This kids strength are his athleticism, quickness and strength. Johnson does have a few holes in his game including defensive positioning and shooting. If this kid develops his point guard instincts and reigns in his talent he will be a NBA player. Photo.

Thomas Robinson- We have liked this kids game for sometime. Robinson has nice footwork and can finish in traffic around the rim. We love his tenacity and passion, especially on the defensive end of the court. This kid seems to want to get better and he has some of the best springs in the class. This kid is an elite shot blocker and might have the best timing in the class. Robinson averaged 17 points 14 rebounds and 5 blocks per game as a junior and 16.0 ppg, 13.0 rpg and 5.0 blocks as a senior. Photo.

What we stated awhile back here. Is now looking as if it will come to fruition. As the Henry to Kansas rumors are starting to fly on a broader level. Yes, Kentucky fans anything is possible! However in the end I just can't get anyone to place this kid anywhere but Kansas. Adam Zagoria is now reporting the same thing. So the saga continues. I assure you that I would not have missed my prom to make a visit either.

“They’re not visiting,” Carl said in a phone interview with Zagoria. “ Xavier's going to a prom Friday.”

I am told to expect to hear something as early as tomorrow morning.

I believe the answer will be yes. Just passing along some info from a reliable source.

The Bottom line is that Henry doesn't blame Calipari for bolting to UK, however he is disappointed. Calipari brought his brother in and signed him only to leave. Henry will not follow Calipari to Kentucky with his family in limbo like this. Henry, being the future lottery pick that he is can ill-afford to remain loyal to Memphis at this point. Staying committed could require Henry to play for a sub par team in a sub par conference. There is one out in all of this for Tiger fans and that is to make a big splash hire and soon. The Jay hawk's are in great shape as of now.

It's that time of year again. Just about all of the top players in the country are signed are the jockeying for position within the rankings has begun. The McDonald's game was packed full of excitement this past Wednesday night.

Keith Tiny Gallon was definitely the literal biggest winner. As he posted 20 points and ran the court with relative ease, always looking composed with a nose for the ball. Gallon may also be the biggest loser as he has lost at least 20 pounds since we last seen him play.

Renardo Sidney arrived on the national scene allowing folks to see his ball handling skills that we have been raving about for a long time. Sidney posted 11 points and 6 rebounds.

DeMarcus Cousins solidified himself as the best true center prospect in the nation. Posting 14 points and pulling 8 boards.

Georgia Tech commit Derrick Favors stayed his consistent self posting 19 points and pulling down 8 boards to boot, this kid has lottery pick written all over him.

Peyton Siva is as good as advertised believe the hype Cardinal fans. He is athletic and oh yeah he dropped 9 dimes.

We thought that Tommy Mason-Griffin looked a little out of his element in the game although, he will fit in nicely at Oklahoma.

Xavier Henry showed the best stroke from the perimeter shooting 3-6 beyond the arc. Henry is believed to be leaning strongly towards Kansas and we should know something in the next few days about his future.

Milton Jennings and Dexter Strickland are both top tier players however because of some of the performances their rankings could slip a bit.
